Instructions for Configuring Internet Explorer to add the IeToolbox button to the toolbar
Thank you for evaluating IeToolbox. With Internet Explorer versions 5.0 and greater, there should already be a new button on your IE toolbar when the installation is complete. See the icon on the right in the screenshot below. If it is not, please follow the instructions further below.
Note for Internet Explorer 4 users: Unfortunately there will be no toolbar button. Plug-in explorer bars can only be opened via the Toolbar menu. Please see further-on in this document for how to activate IeToolbox.
Even though the icon is there, IE doesn't seem to activate new plug-ins until after a reboot. If nothing happens when you click it, just restart your computer and all should be fine. But before you do so, please read the rest of this document while you have it open.
Clicking on the button opens the IeToolbox in a sidebar on the left, just like the Search and Favorites sidebars. Here is what IeToolbox looks like when opened to the Favorites tab:
If you are using an older version of IE or the button does not appear on your toolbar, you need to add the button to the toolbar manually. Open the "Customize Toolbar" dialog from the IE menu.
Scroll down and find the IeToolbox item in the "Available toolbar buttons" list and click the "Add" button to add it to your toolbar. The IeToolbox button should be on your toolbar when you close the dialog.
Note that you can also open IeToolbox via the "View/Explorer Bar" menu, as shown in the screenshot below. For IE 4 users, this is the only way to open the IeToolbox.
